Maldaba worked with Reaching People as part of their Leicester Ageing Together project to create ViCC, the Leicester Virtual Community Centre.
ViCC helps the elderly maintain social and physical engagement during the struggles of lockdown.
Since October 2015, Leicester Ageing Together, a Reaching People project, has worked to reduce isolation and loneliness among older people in East Leicester.
The project worked with over 6,000 older people through the work of 17 partner organisations and focused on supporting communities to help reduce loneliness and isolation themselves.
During Covid 19 they approached Maldaba to provide a web based system to view and book onto upcominmg activities. Actonline
Leicester Ageing Together had very specific branding which they wished to maintain, so in principle the system was top and tailed bbut I noticed some WCAG contrast issues with their existing colour palette.
They were happy to make minor tweaks to ensure the site was accessible and would pass this back to their site support team.
